Q Mycin 250mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections
It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Q Mycin 250mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Q Mycin Tablet works

Q Mycin 250mg Tablet is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Q Mycin 250mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.

There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.
Q Mycin 250mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Q Mycin 250mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Q Mycin 250mg Tablet is recommended.

However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as the use of this medicine may affect hearing in patients with severe kidney disease.
Q Mycin 250mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Q Mycin 250mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of this medicine in liver disease patients can cause hearing loss.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Erythromycin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
