You should use Proceive SR 200 Tablet as your doctor has advised. Do not use more or less than you have been advised, and do not use it for longer than recommended. You may be asked to continue taking this medicine for a certain period after it is confirmed that you are pregnant.

The most common side effects include headache, stomach cramps, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, fluid retention, and nausea. Your doctor may be able to help you reduce or prevent side effects if they bother you or do not go away. Very occasionally, people get a severe allergic reaction that needs urgent medical attention.

Using this medicine may increase your risk of blood clots or breast cancer. Proceive SR 200 Tablet may not suit everybody, and you should tell your doctor if you have, or have had, breast cancer, unusual bleeding in the vagina, or liver disease. You may be monitored more carefully if you have liver, kidney, or heart problems or have diabetes or asthma.

Let your doctor know your medical history to make sure it is safe for you. Check with your doctor about all other medicines that may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. You will probably have several tests both before and during treatment to check your womb. This medicine can alter your thinking or reactions, and you may feel very tired, so be careful if you drive or need to be alert.

Progesterone helps to prepare the uterus for pregnancy by causing the uterus lining (endometrium) to thicken. This increases the chance of a successful pregnancy. You should use the medicine as prescribed for it to be effective. You may be asked to continue with this treatment for a period after becoming pregnant.

There is limited data available on the use of Proceive SR 200 Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CAUTION

Proceive SR 200 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Proceive with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

It is recommended to use barrier methods (like condoms), IUDs, or a depot for contraception. Your doctor may monitor your treatment closely and adjust the doses as per the observations. Use barrier methods (like condoms) for contraception to reduce the risk of HIV infection.

Mycophenolate mofetil (Oral Route)

Effective contraception must be used before, during, and for at least 6 weeks after stopping Mycophenolate mofetil. It is recommended to consult your doctor. Mycophenolate mofetil may reduce the efficacy of Progesterone.

Yes, taking Proceive SR 200 Tablet may cause weight gain. The weight gain may be due to water retention and may not be a serious sign. But, do not start any hormonal therapy without consulting your doctor.
