Interaction with drugs

Taking Parkitidin with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Memantine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Memantine with Amantadine. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations.

Bupropion (Oral Route)

Careful consideration is advised when taking Bupropion with Amantadine. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as shortness of breath, headache, nausea or blurred vision and consult your doctor if you experience them.

Amisulpride (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as constipation, confusion or psychosis and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Amantadine may reduce efficacy of Amisulpride.

Abruptly stopping Parkitidin Tablet may result in worsening of Parkinsonism. It may also cause delirium, agitation, delusions, hallucinations, paranoid reactions, stupor, anxiety, depression, or slurred speech.
A decrease in weight and body mass index may occur with continued Parkitidin Tablet usage. If you have any concerns regarding weight loss, consult your doctor or a nutritionist.
