Uses of Nortimer Tablet

Nortimer 50 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of depression. It is used in patients intolerant of or unresponsive to alternative treatment options for depression.

How to use Nortimer Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nortimer 50 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Nortimer 50 mg Tablet increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.

Pregnancy

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Nortimer 50 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Nortimer 50 mg Tablet may affect your alertness which may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Nortimer 50 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Nortimer 50 mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Nortimer 50 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nortimer 50 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine. Use of Nortimer 50 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you miss a dose of Nortimer Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Nortimer 50 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • The main dose should be taken at night as this drug may produce drowsiness or sleepiness.
  • It can take 4 to 6 weeks for Nortimer 50 mg Tablet to start working.

Hello sir i have taking the tablet of depression from three month this desease come out from dengue now i have taking ventab 25 mg proponol 10 mg and clozepam . 50mg but when i get off it again i feel anxient and sad. I feel freqeunt in mind only when i miss one or two days dose. I wanted to know that we will i stop these medicine i also wanted to get pregnant but due to this tablets i miss this chance sir please help me when will i conceive because have no baby and wanted to plan for this

you have been diagnosed with depression as told by you. It is a treatable condition. your re already undergoing medical therapy and you consult your Doctor to add Psychotherapy but this decision has to be made by your treating doctor
