Product introduction
Take Nortimer 25mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Since it may cause drowsiness, your doctor may advise you to take it at bedtime. Continue taking it regularly even if you start feeling better, as it may take a few weeks before you notice the full benefit. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as doing so may cause withdrawal symptoms and increase the risk of your symptoms returning.
The most common side effects of Nortimer 25mg Tablet include dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, dizziness, headache, increased heart rate, drowsiness, and difficulty passing urine. It may also cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when you stand up, making you feel dizzy or lightheaded. Drink plenty of fluids, maintain a fibre-rich diet to help prevent constipation, and consult your doctor if side effects persist or become bothersome.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Nortimer 25mg Tablet, as it can increase drowsiness and impair alertness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medicine affects you. Inform your doctor if you have heart disease, glaucoma, seizures, liver disease, or difficulty passing urine before starting treatment. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially antidepressants and medicines that affect heart rhythm, as they may interact with this medicine.
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience worsening depression, unusual changes in mood or behaviour, or thoughts of self-harm or suicide, particularly during the first few weeks of treatment or after a change in dose.
