Moximycin 400mg Infusion is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. This treats your infection.

  • Your doctor has prescribed Moximycin to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
  • Discontinue Moximycin and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.

Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Moximycin 400mg Infusion may make you feel dizzy or light-headed, you may experience a sudden, transient loss of vision, or you may faint for a short period. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
SAFE
Moximycin 400mg Infusion is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Moximycin 400mg Infusion is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
Moximycin 400mg Infusion should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Moximycin 400mg Infusion may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of Moximycin 400mg Infusion in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
