Lopox 2 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of diarrhoea
. It should not be used in patients with dysentery (diarrhea with blood).
Side Effects of Lopox are Nausea, Constipation, Stomach cramp.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lopox 2 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Lopox 2 mg Tablet is an anti-diarrhoeal medication. It works by slowing down the contraction of the intestines thereby decreasing the speed at which the contents pass through it. This allows more time for reabsorption of fluids and nutrients, making the stools more solid and less frequent.

- The drug can make you dizzy or drowzy. Avoid driving or operating any heavy machinery when taking this drug.
- Try to drink plenty of fluids. Having diarrhea can make you dehydrated.
- Do not take loperamide if you are allergic to it.
- Do not take this drug if you have blood in your stools or if your stools are dark or black in colour.
- Do not take this drug if you are severly constipated.
