How to use Lopagut Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Lopagut 2mg Tablet at a fixed time.

How Lopagut Tablet works

Lopagut 2mg tablet is an anti-diarrhoeal medication. It works by decreasing contraction of the intestines which makes stools more solid and less frequent.

Expert advice for Lopagut Tablet

  • Consult your doctor if you have diarrhea lasting for more than 48 hours.
  • Don't use if you have blood in your stool or it's dark or black in color.
  • The drug can make you dizzy or drowzy. Avoid driving or operating any heavy machinery when taking this drug.
  • Try to drink plenty of fluids. Having diarrhea can make you dehydrated.
  • Do not take loperamide if you are allergic to it.
  • Do not take this drug if you have blood in your stools or if your stools are dark or black in colour.
  • Do not take this drug if you are severly constipated.
