It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Loopra 10mg tablet at a fixed time.
Loopra 10mg tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Loopra 10mg tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Either animal studies have shown adverse effect on fetus and there are no human studies or studies in human and animals are not available. It should be given only if potential benefits justifies risk to the fetus. Please consult your doctor.

Loperamide(10 mg)


Loopra 10mg tablet is used for the treatment of diarrhea (loose stools).

How it works

Loopra 10mg tablet belongs to a category of drugs called as anti-diarrheal used to treat diarrhea. It acts by slowing down the movement of an overactive bowel, which helps in absorption of water and salts from the body that are usually lost in diarrhea.

  • Don't use if you have blood in your stool or it's dark or black in color.
  • The drug can make you dizzy or drowzy. Avoid driving or operating any heavy machinery when taking this drug.
  • Try to drink plenty of fluids. Having diarrhea can make you dehydrated.
  • Do not take loperamide if you are allergic to it.
  • Do not take this drug if you have blood in your stools or if your stools are dark or black in colour.
  • Do not take this drug if you are severly constipated.
