Buclizine(12 mg)


Longifene-ds syrup in combination with paracetamol and codeine is used for the short term treatment of acute moderate pain in migraine (headache, nausea and vomiting), which is not relieved by paracetamol, ibuprofen, or aspirin alone. It can also be used in certain allergic conditions like urticaria (allergic itching and swelling of skin).

How it works

Longifene-ds syrup belongs to group of medicines called antihistaminics. It inhibits the action of chemicals called histamines in the body, thereby reducing the allergic reactions. By acting on brain, it causes sedation and reduces symptoms of nausea and vomiting.

  • Consult your doctor if you have closed angle glaucoma (increased pressure in the eyes), liver or kidney disease, if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (drugs for depression)
  • You should not take buclizine for more than 3 days.
  • Do not drive or operate heavy machinery because you may feel sleepy or dizzy while being treated with buclizine. 
  • Do not consume alcohol while taking buclizine as it may worsen the side effects.
