Lobazam 10 mg Tablet is a type of anti-epileptic medicine. It is used in the treatment of epilepsy and severe anxiety. This medicine should be taken strictly as advised by your doctor.

How to use Lobazam Tablet

How Lobazam Tablet works

Lobazam 10 mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Lobazam 10 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Lobazam 10 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Short-term use is not expected to cause any adverse effects in the breastfed baby, especially if the baby is older than 2 months. During long-term use, monitor for possible sleepiness.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
You may feel sleepy or have concentration or memory problems after taking Lobazam 10 mg Tablet and this may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Lobazam 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lobazam 10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of Lobazam 10 mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Lobazam 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lobazam 10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on use of Lobazam 10 mg Tablet in patients with severe liver disease.

i an suffering from epilepsy. and i want to travel by air today and i consult doctor for this . he told me to have lobazam 10 mg tab half n hour before boarding flight. i am already having zen retard daily . please tell me whether should i take lobazam tab or not. as i hav read side effect of this on net.

Yes, Lobazam can be habit forming if used for a long time. The risk of dependence increases with dose and duration of treatment; it is also greater in patients with a history of alcohol or drug abuse. Therefore, the duration of treatment is generally as short as possible.
