How to use L Cetriver Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How L Cetriver Tablet works

L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.

Alcohol
CAUTION
L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or more prolonged use of L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet may cause drowsiness and other effects in the baby or decrease the milk supply
Driving
L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
SAFE
L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of L Cetriver 5 mg Tablet is recommended.

Ive got tested for hiv after 4 months of possible exposure (not sure if partner was +ve and sex was with condom) and results were negative and its been 6 months till date after the possible exposure now i was suffering from blocked nose wnd difficulty in breathing so i went to a chest specialist and was given total ige" test and the report came +ve with very highly elevated ige levels about 2000 ku/l is there anything to worry and is there any relation between total ige levels and hiv im very stressed once again please help."

Q. Is L Cetriver a steroid? What is it used for?

L Cetriver is an anti-allergic medication, not a steroid. It relieves the symptoms of allergy. It is used to relieve runny nose, sneezing, and redness, itching, and watering of the eyes caused by hay fever or seasonal allergies. It also relieves similar symptoms caused due to allergies to substances such as dust mites, animal dander, and mold. It is also used to treat symptoms of hives, including itching and rash.

Q. Does L Cetriver make you tired and drowsy?

Yes, L Cetriver can make you tired, sleepy and weak. If you have these symptoms, you should avoid driving or operating heavy machinery.

Q. How long does it take for L Cetriver to work?

You will notice an improvement within an hour of taking L Cetriver. However, it may take a little longer to notice the full benefits.

Q. Can I take L Cetriver and fexofenadine together?

Sometimes doctor may advise you to take two different antihistamines together if you are being treated for a severe itchy rash. If you are taking L Cetriver during daytime, your doctor may prescribe another antihistamine which causes sleepiness for the night, especially if the itch makes it difficult for you to sleep. Do not take 2 antihistamines together unless recommended by your doctor.

L Cetriver is safe if used as prescribed by your doctor. Moreover, it is unlikely to harm you if you take it for a long time. But, it is best to take L Cetriver for as long as you need it.

The duration of the medicine depends on why you are taking L Cetriver. If you are taking it for an insect bite, you may need it for a day or two. You may need to take L Cetriver for a longer time if you are taking it to prevent symptoms of chronic allergic rhinitis (inflammation of nose) or chronic urticaria.
