Product introduction

Joykem ODT 300 Tablet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of schizophrenia, a mental disorder that can result in hallucinations or delusions and also adversely affects a person’s ability to think and behave.

Joykem ODT 300 Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably before bedtime. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, dryness in the mouth, blurred vision, insomnia, and erectile dysfunction. Initially, this medicine may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when you change positions, so it is better to rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It also causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. This medicine can lead to weight gain and may increase your blood sugar and cholesterol levels. However, modifying your lifestyle by having a healthy diet and exercising regularly can reduce this side effect.

My sister is on medication for schizophrenia since 2005 under Dr. K.K.Sinha of Ranchi. The medicines were stopped in April 2013 However problem reoccurred 4 months later. She was given Quel 200, Joykem 200 and Kamiyan 100. Quel was dropped 6 months later. Power of Joykem and Kamiyan were reduced slowly. For the last 1 year she is taking Prati CR 12.5 as the problem was diminished. But the problem has surfaced again with full severity. Doctor has given date after 2 months. What should be done for the period ? Name of the medicines has been wrongly typed. It's Lamosyn , not Kamiyan. And it's pexti , nor Prati.
