Ivazine 7.5 mg Tablet

Overview

Introduction of Ivazine Tablet

Ivazine 7.5 mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat people for stable angina and chronic heart failure. It works by helping to slow the heart rate and may be used in combination with beta-blockers or as an alternative to them.

The dose will depend on what you’re being treated for. It should be taken with food at the same time(s) each day, but you should avoid drinking grapefruit juice during treatment with this medicine. Because treatment for angina or heart failure is usually life-long, you should not stop using it without talking to your doctor. If you take too much in one go, your heart could slow down too much and make you feel breathless or tired. If this happens, call a doctor.

The most common side effects are temporary brightness in your vision and changes to your heart function. You may also experience uncontrolled blood pressure, headache, dizziness and blurred vision. Some, such as fainting and significant changes to your heartbeat may be very serious and need urgent medical attention. Avoid driving until you know how this medicine will affect you.

Do not use Ivazine 7.5 mg Tablet if you have severe liver disease, have a low resting heart rate or a heart rhythm disorder. It is also not suitable if you have unstable angina, heart failure that has recently become worse or very low blood pressure. This medicine interacts with certain other medicines used to treat high blood pressure, fungal infections and HIV. Do not take it if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Voglibose and pioglitazone both are medications used for diabetes but there mechanism of action is different and so are their side effects. Voglibose acts to reduce post prandial blood glucose whereas pioglitazone improves insulin sensitivity and improves glycemic control. Voglibose causes gastric side effects and sometimes affects the liver whereas pioglitazone should not be given to patients with heart ailments as it can worsen heart failure.
