How Indox Injection works

Indox 5 IU Injection stimulates the contraction of the uterine muscles during delivery. It also helps to control post-delivery bleeding.

Pregnancy

Indox 5 IU Injection is safe to use during pregnancy.
Adequate and well-controlled human studies have shown low or no risk.
Lactation
SAFE
Indox 5 IU Injection is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Indox 5 IU Injection can start labor. Women with contractions should not drive.
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Indox 5 IU Injection in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
However, cautious use is advised in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver

What if you miss a dose of Indox Injection?

Better to go for induction of labour now if you have not gone into labour. The chances of fetal distress and meconium stained liquor increases in a post dated pregnancy.
