Honvan Tablet can be taken with or without food, but better to take it at a fixed time each day for better efficacy. It should be swallowed whole with the water. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment. The treatment should not be stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor as this may affect the potency of this medicine.

The most common side effects of this therapy are breast enlargement, abdominal pain, and liver problems (jaundice). If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them.

Before taking this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same disease or other diseases. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should tell your doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may suggest you some diagnostic or laboratory tests to know the effects and side effects of this medicine on your body.

The prostate gland is a small walnut-sized gland that produces a fluid called seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperms in males. The most common symptom of prostate cancer is difficulty with urination, but sometimes there are no symptoms at all. Honvan Tablet decreases or stops the growth of cancer cells by decreasing the amount of testosterone (natural hormone in males) in men. This also relieves difficulty in passing urine and makes it easier for you to urinate.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Honvan Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Honvan Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Honvan Tablet works

Prostate cancer cells need testosterone to grow. Honvan Tablet works by decreasing the amount of testosterone (natural hormone in males) in men. As a result, the spread and growth of prostate cancer stops or slows down.

Honvan Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Breast feeding

UNSAFE

Honvan Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Honvan Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor.

Kidney

CAUTION

Honvan Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Liver

UNSAFE

Honvan Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Honvan with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Tamoxifen (Oral Route)

Do not consume Tamoxifen with Fosfestrol if you have or had breast cancer. If essential, consult your doctor. Fosfestrol may reduce the efficacy of Tamoxifen.

Severe

Letrozole (Oral Route)

Do not consume Letrozole with Fosfestrol if you have or had breast cancer. If essential, consult your doctor.

Severe

Fulvestrant (Injection Route)

Do not consume Fulvestrant with Fosfestrol if you have or had breast cancer. If essential, consult your doctor. Fosfestrol may reduce the efficacy of Fulvestrant.

Anastrozole (Oral Route)

Do not consume Anastrozole with Fosfestrol if you have or had breast cancer. If essential, consult your doctor. Fosfestrol may reduce the efficacy of Anastrozole.

Raloxifene (Oral Route)

Do not consume Raloxifene with Fosfestrol. If concurrent use is essential, please consult your doctor. Fosfestrol may reduce the efficacy of Raloxifene.
