Uses of Gatisafe Infusion

Gatisafe Infusion is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin & soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

How Gatisafe Infusion works

Gatisafe Infusion is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Gatisafe Infusion.
Pregnancy

Gatisafe Infusion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Gatisafe Infusion is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Gatisafe Infusion may cause diarrhea or rash in the baby
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
The most common side effects that can occur when taking Gatisafe Infusion are usually mild nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhea, dizziness, and headache.This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Gatisafe Infusion should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gatisafe Infusion may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Gatisafe Infusion?

If you miss a dose of Gatisafe Infusion, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
