How to use Gabtin Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gabtin 400 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Gabtin Capsule works

Gabtin 400 mg Capsule is an antiepileptic medication. It decreases pain and seizures by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells.

Gabtin 400 mg Capsule may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Gabtin 400 mg Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Gabtin 400 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Baby should be monitored for excessive sleepiness and weight gain.
Driving
Gabtin 400 mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Gabtin 400 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gabtin 400 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

What if you miss a dose of Gabtin Capsule?

If you miss a dose of Gabtin 400 mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Uses Pregabalin is used to treat fits (seizures), pain caused by damage to the nerves, and generalized anxiety disorders in adults. How it works Pregabalin belongs to group of medications called antiepileptics.
