Fibrodone Tablet is best taken with food. Take it at the same time every day to get the most benefits. The dose and how often you take it depend on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.

The most common side effects of this medicine include insomnia, headache, dizziness, dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhea, and photosensitivity. To overcome dizziness, avoid driving or engaging in attention-seeking activities. Some people may experience weight loss and other side effects. Monitor your weight regularly or ask for the doctor's advice in such cases. Your doctor also may perform a liver function test while on treatment with this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking, as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Taking Fibrodone with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Severe

Fluvoxamine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Pirfenidone with Fluvoxamine. Fluvoxamine may raise blood levels of Pirfenidone.

Moderate

Axitinib (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms of Pirfenidone side effects such as diarrhea, itching or skin rash, nausea, redness of the skin, stomach discomfort or vomiting and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the doses as per the observations. Axitinib may raise blood levels of Pirfenidone.

Moderate

Allylestrenol (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms of Pirfenidone side effects such as diarrhea, itching or skin rash, nausea, redness of the skin, stomach discomfort or vomiting and consult your doctor if you experience them. Allylestrenol may raise blood levels of Pirfenidone.
