Evabet 100mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension and chest pain (Angina).

How to use Evabet Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Evabet 100mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Evabet Tablet works

Evabet 100mg tablet is an alpha and beta blocker. It works by slowing down the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

Expert advice for Evabet Tablet

  • May cause dizziness in the first few days.
  • Check your blood pressure 1 week after starting Evabet, and inform your doctor if it hasn't improved.
  • May cause fatigue and erectile dysfunction.
  • Can hide symptoms of low blood sugar. Be careful if you're diabetic.
  • Should not be discontinued abruptly as it may increase the chances of a heart attack or other heart problems.

Special precautions for Evabet 100mg Tablet
Taking Labetalol and alcohol may have additive effects in lo
wering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Evabet 100mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Evabet 100mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation
. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Evabet 100mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired,
or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Evabet 100mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Evabet 100mg Tablet is recommended.

However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for better dose adjustment.
Evabet 100mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients
with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Evabet 100mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
