Emlevo 750 Tablet

Overview

Introduction of Emlevo Tablet

Emlevo 750 Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat and prevent epilepsy (seizures). However, it cannot cure epilepsy and will only work to prevent seizures for as long as you continue to take the medicine.

Emlevo 750 Tablet suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain and prevents the spread of electrical signals that cause seizures. It is taken by mouth and may be used empty stomach or along with food. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain consistent level of medicine in the body. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. You should continue to take this medicine for as long as the doctor advises and do not stop taking it suddenly because this may increase the risk of seizures which may be difficult to control.

Some common side effects associated with the use of this medicine includes headache and dizziness. It causes sleepiness in the beginning of your treatment, do not drive, operate machinery, work at heights, or participate in potentially dangerous activities until you know how this medicine affects you. It may cause weight gain or weight loss as it vary from person to person. To prevent weight gain you can eat a healthy balanced diet and should exercise regularly whereas weight loss can be prevented by increasing food portions. It should be noted that this medicine does not affect fertility in males or females. Remember to consult doctor if you notice any rashes, especially accompanied by fever after taking this medicine. It is important to inform doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood or behavior, new or worsening depression, or suicidal thoughts or behavior.
