Overview

Introduction

Dispar 300mg Tablet is a medicine used to relieve pain and to reduce fever. It is used to treat many conditions such as headache, body ache, toothache and common cold.

Dispar 300mg Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It is usually best taken with food otherwise it may upset your stomach. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended. Side effects are rare if this medicine is used correctly but this medicine may cause stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting in some people. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you or do not go away.

This medicine is widely prescribed and considered safe but is not suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney problems or are using blood-thinning medicines. It may affect the dose or suitability of this medicine. Let your doctor know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

How to use Dispar Tablet

How Dispar Tablet works

Dispar 300mg Tablet is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever.

Dispar 300mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Driving

Dispar 300mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Dispar 300mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Dispar 300mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, Dispar 300mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver
CAUTION
Dispar 300mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Dispar 300mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Dispar 300mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if you forget to take Dispar Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Dispar 300mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

FAQs

Q. What if my child vomits after taking Dispar?

If your child vomits within30 minutes of taking a dose of Dispar tablets or syrup, give him/her the same dose again. However, if your child vomits after 30 minutes of taking a dose of tablets or syrup, you do not need to give him/her another dose. You can give your child the next scheduled dose on its defined time.

Q. When will my child feel better after taking Dispar?

Usually, your child will feel better after about half an hour of taking Dispar. Consult your doctor if the fever persists.

Q. How often can I give Dispar to my child?

You should only give four doses of Dispar in 24 hours. Maintain a gap of at least 4 hours between two doses. Do not give Dispar for more than 3 days to your child without first talking to your doctor.

Q. Can I give Dispar syrup to my child for a cold?

Dispar along with relieving fever also helps in controlling problems associated with cold such as headache and earache. It also helps relieve stuffy nose and cough but should only be used after doctor’s advice.

Q. Does Dispar make babies sleepy?

No, Dispar does not make babies sleepy. It is a pain relieving medicine which is used to control high fever.

Q. Is Dispar safe for children?

Dispar is considered safe for children only when used as directed by the doctor.

Q. Is Dispar an antibiotic?

No, Dispar is not an antibiotic. It works as a painkiller and as a medicine which brings down high fever.

Q. Can I give my child Dispar and ibuprofen together?

Ibuprofen and Dispar are safe painkillers which can be given to children, though both should not be used together. If you have given your child Dispar and there is no improvement in pain and the child still feels feverish, try ibuprofen instead for the next scheduled dose.
