Cut Cold-D 10mg Syrup is an antitussive medicine. It is used for the treatment of dry cough. It helps by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain.
This medicine is taken by mouth with or without food. You should take it in a proper dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Remember dosage is decided on the basis of type of medicine (syrup or lozenge), age and present medical condition of the person. It is important to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. In case you have missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Its beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication.
It is important to note that you should never support self medication or recommend your medicine to other person. Keep out of reach of children as overdose of this medicine can be dangerous. What if you forget to take Cut Cold-D Syrup?
If you miss a dose of Cut Cold-D 10mg Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Cut Cold-D 10mg Syrup for the symptomatic relief of dry cough.
It is usually taken for a short time, until the symptoms clear up.
Allow the lozenge or disintegrating strip to dissolve in your mouth. Do not chew or swallow.
Measure the syrup with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon.
Drink extra fluids to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication.
It should not be administered to patients with chronic cough or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretions.
Inform your doctor if your cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash or headache. These could be signs of a serious condition.

Dextromethorphan works for most of the patient. It should be taken in amounts exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.
