Asogrel 75mg Tablet is an antiplatelet medicine or a blood thinner that helps to prevent the formation of harmful blood clots in your blood vessels. This helps to lower the chances of you getting a heart attack or stroke. It is a widely used medicine for heart protection.

Asogrel 75mg Tablet is prescribed to people at high risk of heart disease. This includes people with peripheral vascular disease (blood circulation problems due to narrowing of blood vessels), recent heart attack or stroke, irregular heartbeats, and those who have undergone certain heart procedures like stenting. It is also used in combination with some other medicines for the treatment of heart attack and some types of heart-related chest pain (unstable angina).

This medicine may be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine even if you feel well. If you stop taking this medicine, it may increase your chance of having a heart attack or stroke.

The most common side effect seen with this medicine is bleeding. This may be in the form of bruising, nose bleeds, blood in urine or stools (black-colored stools), or heavier periods than usual in women. If you cut or injure yourself, it may take longer than usual for the bleeding to stop. Such episodes of bleeding are usually mild and resolve on their own. However, you should consult your doctor straight away if the bleeding persists or worries you.

This medicine is not suitable for some people. Do not take it if you are bleeding from anywhere in the body, such as a stomach ulcer or bleeding within the brain. Before taking it, you should let your doctor know if you have ever had a problem with your blood not clotting properly or if you have recently had a serious injury or surgery. This medicine may need to be stopped temporarily before planned surgery or dental treatment.

Liver

What if you forget to take Asogrel Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Asogrel 75mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Taking Asogrel with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Fluconazole (Oral Route) Severe

Do not consume Clopidogrel with Fluconazole. Fluconazole may reduce blood levels and efficacy of the active form of Clopidogrel.

It can elicit a neuro-hormonal response understood as Flight or Fright reaction kicking in physiological cascade of symptoms ranging from palpitations, tachycardia, breathlessness, increased bowel movement, increase frequency of urination, dizziness, muscle tension or pain, trembling, dizziness, blurring of vision to restlessness, confusion and fainting spells. Chronic stress causes prolonged anxiety response with the consequences of slowed cognition , lack of concentration, headaches, fluctuations in blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome with persistent Bowel movement issues and increased wear and tear of body tissues. Identifying your stressors, learning to deal with them, de stressing regularly by doing something that makes one feel good, yoga and meditation are some non pharmacological strategies to deal with it. If the condition is persisting for a long time, it's better to see a psychiatrist.

What are the health problems that one can get if the one keeps on taking a chronic stress and depression over a prolonged period of time. Seing that im experiencing some symtoms like chronic head ache, nausea, heart pain, gastrointiatinal bleeding, urine in the blood, sleep deprivation, weight loss due to exyreme thinking. Can omeprazole be taken along with Asogrel 75mg Tablet?

Omeprazole ( a proton pump inhibitor or PPI used to treat and prevent indigestion) may interfere with the working of Asogrel 75mg Tablet and reduce the effect of Asogrel 75mg Tablet. Your doctor may prescribe an alternate PPI like lansoprazole, if you suffer from indigestion or if they judge that it would be beneficial to you. You should let your doctor know about all the medicines that have been prescribed to you before starting Asogrel 75mg Tablet. Always consult your doctor before taking any medicine.

What will happen if I stop taking Asogrel 75mg Tablet?

If you stop taking Asogrel 75mg Tablet suddenly, your chances of heart attack or stroke may increase. These conditions can be fatal. Do not stop taking it without talking to your doctor, otherwise your condition may worsen. Continue taking Asogrel 75mg Tablet for as long as prescribed by your doctor to get maximum benefit.

How long does it take Asogrel 75mg Tablet to start working? How long do I need to take it?

Asogrel 75mg Tablet starts working within 2 hours of taking it. Continue taking it as long as your doctor has advised you. You may have to take it for a few weeks or months, or you may have to take it for the rest of your life.

Can I take alcohol with Asogrel 75mg Tablet?

Yes, you can take alcohol with Asogrel 75mg Tablet. However, excessive intake of alcohol should be avoided as it can irritate the inner lining of the stomach, and this increases the risk of developing a stomach ulcer later.
