AEDON 10 MG TABLET is a type of anti-epileptic medicine. It is used in the treatment of epilepsy and severe anxiety. This medicine should be taken strictly as advised by your doctor.

How to use Aedon Tablet

How Aedon Tablet works

AEDON 10 MG TABLET is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
AEDON 10 MG TABLET is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Short-term use is not expected to cause any adverse effects in the breastfed baby, especially if the baby is older than 2 months. During long-term use, monitor for possible sleepiness.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
You may feel sleepy or have concentration or memory problems after taking AEDON 10 MG TABLET and this may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
AEDON 10 MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of AEDON 10 MG TABLET may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of AEDON 10 MG TABLET in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
AEDON 10 MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of AEDON 10 MG TABLET may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on use of AEDON 10 MG TABLET in patients with severe liver disease.

No, Aedon and clonazepam are not the same medicines but belong to the same class of drugs known as benzodiazepines.

Withdrawal syndrome may develop at any time up to 3 weeks after stopping Aedon. Withdrawal signs may last anywhere from 4 weeks to a year or more.
