Zyvec Injection is used to relax muscles during anesthesia and surgical procedures. It works by blocking chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for rigidity, inflammation or swelling. It effectively relieves muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving muscle movement.
It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. The dose and duration will be decided by the doctor depending on the condition you are being treated for. Zyvec Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Zyvec Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Zyvec with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Amikacin (Injection Route)

Your muscles may remain relaxed or weak for a longer than usual time.

Carbamazepine (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor and adjust the dose of Vecuronium to promote faster recovery. Vecuronium may raise blood levels of the active form of Carbamazepine.

Moderate

Clindamycin (Injection Route)

Your muscles may remain relaxed or weak for a longer than usual time. Your doctor may monitor your recovery phase. Clindamycin may increase the effect of Vecuronium.

Moderate

Clindamycin (Oral Route)

Your muscles may remain relaxed or weak for a longer than usual time. Your doctor may monitor your recovery phase. Clindamycin may increase the effect of Vecuronium.

Dexamethasone (Oral Route)

Talk to your doctor if you experience muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness during the simultaneous use of these medicines.
