It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Zolmit 2.5mg capsule at a fixed time.
Zolmit 2.5mg capsule may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Zolmitriptan(2.5 mg)

Uses

Zolmit 2.5mg capsule is used in acute attack of migraine.

How it works

Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. A Zolmit 2.5mg capsule works by constricting (narrowing) these blood vessels, thus relieving the migraine headache.

Common side effects

Vomiting, Nausea, Diarrhoea, Dizziness, Dry mouth, Eye swelling, Altered heart rate, Increased sweating, Loss of appetite, Rash, Weakness, Numbness of extremity

  • To relieve migraine as soon as possible, take Zolmitriptan as soon as the headache begins. 
  • Lying down in a quiet and dark room for a while after you use Zolmitriptan may help to relieve the migraine. 
  • Take Zolmitriptan only as prescribed by the doctor. Using too much Zolmitriptan may increase the chances of side effects. 
  • Notify your doctor if your migraine headaches are occurring more often, than before you started using Zolmitriptan.
  • Notify your doctor if you have used Zolmitriptan for at least three consecutive months.
  • Avoid driving after taking <med_name > as it may cause drowsiness and dizziness.
