Torimed 10mg Tablet helps your body get rid of extra water and salt through urine. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines as per the dose advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day. It is best to avoid taking this medicine within 4 hours of your bedtime to prevent having to get up at night to urinate.

It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. If you stop taking it without consulting your doctor, your condition may worsen. Lifestyle changes like reducing stress, restricting salt intake, and stopping smoking may help this medication work better.

Common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, dehydration, decreased blood pressure, and stomach upset. These are usually mild and disappear after a short time. Consult your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

Taking Torimed with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Severe

Lithium carbonate (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms such as impaired coordination, double vision, weakness, dizziness or confusion and consult your doctor if you experience them. Your doctor may monitor your Lithium carbonate and potassium levels frequently and adjust the dose of Lithium carbonate accordingly.

Severe

Tobramycin (Inhalation Route)

Do not consume Tobramycin with Torasemide. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your kidney function closely.

Moderate

Amikacin (Injection Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may closely monitor your kidney's functioning and overall treatment.

Chloroquine (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely.

Therefore, discuss this with your doctor, who will advise you to change the medicine or the dosage as per your requirement.

How should Torimed 10mg Tablet be taken?

Take Torimed 10mg Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor. Generally, it is recommended to take Torimed 10mg Tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day. Torimed 10mg Tablet is known to cause excess urination, and hence it is advised to take it in the morning.

Is Torimed 10mg Tablet stronger than furosemide?

Both Torimed 10mg Tablet and furosemide are almost similar in terms of safety and effectiveness. The only difference is that Torimed 10mg Tablet has a longer duration of action in comparison to furosemide, but the effect of both starts within an hour of intake.
