Torefic 10 Tablet helps your body get rid of extra water and salt through urine. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines as per the dose advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day. It is best to avoid taking this medicine within 4 hours of your bedtime to prevent having to get up at night to urinate.

It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. If you stop taking it without consulting your doctor, your condition may worsen. Lifestyle changes like reducing stress, restricting salt intake, and stopping smoking may help this medication work better.

Common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, dehydration, decreased blood pressure, and stomach upset. These are usually mild and disappear after a short time. Consult your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any liver problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolyte levels is important while using this medicine. It may reduce the potassium level in your blood so your doctor may ask you to add potassium-rich foods to your diet (such as bananas, coconut water, etc.) or prescribe supplements.

Torefic 10 Tablet may not cause direct potassium loss. But, in some cases, its use may cause excess loss of water, which may lead to dehydration. This, as a result, may cause loss of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium.

My blood pressure is controlled now. Can I stop taking Torefic 10 Tablet?

Do not stop taking Torefic 10 Tablet without talking to your doctor. Stopping the medicine may not overshoot your blood pressure levels, but may make your condition as it was before treatment. Therefore, discuss this with your doctor, who will advise you to change the medicine or the dosage as per your requirement.

How should Torefic 10 Tablet be taken?

Take Torefic 10 Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor. Generally, it is recommended to take Torefic 10 Tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day. Torefic 10 Tablet is known to cause excess urination, and hence it is advised to take it in the morning.

Is Torefic 10 Tablet stronger than furosemide?

Both Torefic 10 Tablet and furosemide are almost similar in terms of safety and effectiveness. The only difference is that Torefic 10 Tablet has a longer duration of action in comparison to furosemide, but the effect of both starts within an hour of intake.

How long does it take for Torefic 10 Tablet to show its effects?

Torefic 10 Tablet starts acting within an hour of taking it orally, and its effect lasts for about 6-8 hours when given orally.
