How to use Toko Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Toko Forte 400mg Tablet at a fixed time.

Toko is an antibiotic. It is an anthelmintic drug and is used in the treatment of many parasitic infections.
Toko is used for the treatment of infections caused by helminths (worms) like Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm/threadworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm), Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus (hookworms), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Strongyloides stercoralis, animal hookworm larvae causing cutaneous larva migrans, and Opisthorchis viverrini (liver flukes) and Clonorchis sinensis. It is also indicated for the treatment of Hymenolepis nana and Taenia spp. (tapeworm) infections and has shown good activity against anaerobic protozoa like Giardia lamblia and Trichomonas vaginalis. Please consult your doctor before taking any treatment for worms as there could be many worms against which Toko would not be effective.
Toko works by killing the larva and the adult form of the worm by inhibiting tubulin polymerization which causes energy depletion and decreases the mobility of the worm and hence kills the helminth.
Q. Can I take Toko with fluconazole?
Toko can be taken with fluconazole. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
Toko is safe if taken for prescribed duration in prescribed doses as advised by your doctor.
Toko is used for the treatment of pinworms (Enterobius vermicolaris). Toko is active against the larval and the adult stages. Consult your doctor before taking any medicines for worm infections.
