Sta 500mg Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.

Liver

CAUTION

Sta 500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Sta with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Ritonavir (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Ritonavir may reduce blood levels of Mebendazole.

Moderate

Carbamazepine (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Mebendazole may increase the rate of release of Carbamazepine in the blood.

Moderate

Cimetidine (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting or headache and consult your doctor if you experience them. Cimetidine may raise blood levels of Mebendazole.

Fosphenytoin (Injection Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Fosphenytoin may reduce blood levels of Mebendazole.

Phenobarbitone (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Phenobarbitone may reduce blood levels of Mebendazole.
