Cinacalcet(90 mg)


Setz 90mg tablet is used to treat secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with serious kidney disease who need dialysis, in hypercalcemia patients with parathyroid cancer (hypercalcemia) or primary hyperparathyroidism (despite surgical removal of gland) or when surgical removal of enlarged parathyroid gland (a gland in neck which maintains calcium level in body) is not possible.

How it works

Setz 90mg tablet belongs to a class of drugs called as calcimimetics. It works by signaling the parathyroid gland to produce less amount of chemical called parathyroid hormone which lowers the excess blood calcium levels resulting in thinning of bones.
