Roxilac 150mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Roxilac Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Roxilac 150mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Roxilac Tablet works

Roxilac 150mg Tablet is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

  • Roxilac will cure your infection and improve symptoms.
  • It may cause an upset stomach. If this happens to you, take it with food.

Kidney
Roxilac 150mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Roxilac 150mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

Roxilac is to be taken on an empty stomach at least 15 minutes before a meal. The Roxilac tablets should be taken with good amount of water.

Roxilac is used to treat throat infection caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. It is also indicated for other upper respiratory tract infections like tonsillitis and sinusitis.
