How to use Roxicate Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take Roxicate 50mg empty stomach (1 hour before food or 2 hours after food).

How Roxicate Tablet works

Roxicate 50mg is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Q. Can I take Roxicate with food?
Roxicate is to be taken on an empty stomach at least 15 minutes before a meal. The Roxicate tablets should be taken with good amount of water.
Q. Does Roxicate treat streptococcal throat infection?
Roxicate is used to treat throat infection caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. It is also indicated for other upper respiratory tract infections like tonsillitis and sinusitis. If you think you are suffering from a streptococcal throat infection, please consult your doctor as it requires proper diagnosis before the start of antibiotics.
