Rizatrip 10mg Tablet is used in acute attack of migraine.

Side effects of Rizatrip Tablet


Neck pain, Sleepiness, Dry mouth, Dizziness, Sensation of heaviness, Nausea, Weakness, Jaw pain, Throat pain, Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation), Warm sensation.


How to use Rizatrip Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rizatrip 10mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Rizatrip Tablet works

Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Rizatrip 10mg tablet works by constricting (narrowing) these blood vessels, thereby relieving the migraine headaches.

Expert advice for Rizatrip Tablet

  • To relieve migraine as soon as possible, take Rizatrip as soon as the headache begins. 
  • Lying down in a quiet and dark room for a while after you use Rizatrip may help to relieve the migraine. 
  • Take Rizatrip only as prescribed by the doctor. Using too much Rizatrip may increase the chances of side effects. 
  • Notify your doctor if your migraine headaches are occurring more often, than before you started using Rizatrip.
  • Notify your doctor if you have used Rizatrip for at least three consecutive months.
  • Avoid driving after taking as it may cause drowsiness and dizziness.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Rizatrip, it can cause new and worse headaches.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

n. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Rizatrip 10mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired,
or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Rizatrip 10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Rizatrip 10mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of Rizatrip 10mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
