I had a break up last year. Now am studying for competitive exams but after one year i cant concentrate on my studies. I try realy hard but i cant please suggest me something.
Dr. Jyoti Kapoor Madan
Psychiatrist
Inability to concentrate can be because of stress, anxiety, boredom, preoccupation with a bothersome thought or Attention Deficit Disorders. Identifying the cause helps us deal with the problem. In your case, it seems to be largely due to stress of break up for which you may need psychological support as the incident has occurred long time back but you haven't overcome it yet. In the mean time, make a time schedule for the day. Include regular exercise and stress reducing activities like sports or a hobby. Make small goals and revise within 12 hours of studying a topic. If you can't study alone, find a study partner.
