Product introduction

Pth 30 Tablet may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It best taken with a meal or shortly after a meal. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so.

The most common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, nausea, rash, muscle pain, diarrhea, hypertension, dizziness, chest pain, and loss of appetite. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away with time or get worse, or if you experienced any other symptoms which you think are caused by this medicine.

Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your heart, liver, or ever had seizures (fits or convulsions). You should also tell your doctor all the other medications you are taking. If you have low levels of calcium in your body, you should not take this medicine. Your doctor may monitor your blood calcium level while on treatment with this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should ask their doctors' advice before taking this medicine.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Pth with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Severe

Tamoxifen (Oral Route)

Do not consume Tamoxifen with Cinacalcet.
Moderate

Amitriptyline (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Amitriptyline side effects such as dry mouth, sedation, confusion, tremors, fever, diarrhea or agitation and consult your doctor if you experience them. Your doctor may monitor and adjust the doses as per the observations. Cinacalcet may raise blood levels of Amitriptyline.

Aripiprazole (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Cinacalcet may raise blood levels of Aripiprazole.

Iloperidone (Oral Route)

Your doctor may adjust the dose of Iloperidone as per the observations. Cinacalcet may raise blood levels of Iloperidone.

Dosulepin (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Dosulepin side effects such as dry mouth, sedation, confusion, tremors, fever, diarrhea or agitation and consult your doctor if you experience them.
