Uses of Prugo Tablet

Prugo 10 Tablet is used for treatment of anxiety and symptoms of alcohol withdrawal in adults. It is also used to relieve the itching caused by allergies and to control the nausea and vomiting caused by various conditions, including motion sickness in adults and children.

How to use Prugo Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Prugo 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Prugo Tablet works

Prugo 10 Tablet is an antihistaminic medication. In allergy, it works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine). This relieves allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes. In short-term anxiety, it works by decreasing the activity in brain, thereby helping you feel relaxed/sleepy.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Prugo 10 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
Unknown. Human and animal studies are not available. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Prugo 10 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Prugo 10 Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
Driving
Prugo 10 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Prugo 10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Prugo 10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Prugo 10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Prugo 10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Prugo Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Prugo 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
