Primiwal E2 Tablet is to be swallowed with water. It can be taken with or without food, but remember to take it at a fixed time each day for better efficacy. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment. The treatment should not be stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor as this may affect the potency of this medicine.

The most common side effects of this HRT are headaches, breast pain, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, abdominal cramps or bloating, nausea, vomiting, and hair loss. Some of the warning signs and symptoms that need immediate medical attention are breast lumps, unusual vaginal bleeding, dizziness and faintness, severe headaches, chest pain, shortness of breath, pains in your legs, etc.

Before taking this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same disease or other diseases. Before you initiate with this HRT, you must consult the doctor if you have a history of unexplained vaginal bleeding or if you have ever had a blood clot in your legs or your lungs. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should tell your doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may suggest you some diagnostic or laboratory tests to know the effects and side effects of this medicine on your body.

You have been prescribed Primiwal E2 Tablet as a part of hormone replacement therapy to relieve symptoms of menopause.
It may also be used for preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at high risk of fractures.
Take it at the same time everyday to help you remember to take it.
Inform your doctor if you experience any unusual vaginal bleeding or spotting, abnormal vaginal discharge or vaginal discomfort while taking Primiwal E2 Tablet.
It may increase the risk of breast cancer. Have regular breast examinations.
Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, or changes in vision. These could be symptoms of a blood clot in a vein.

Primiwal E2 Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Breast feeding

CAUTION

Primiwal E2 Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body.

Driving

UNSAFE

Primiwal E2 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION

Primiwal E2 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Liver

CAUTION

Primiwal E2 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Primiwal E2 Tablet is not recommended in patients who previously had liver disease and the liver function tests are still not normal and should not be given to women with severe hepatic disease.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Primiwal E2 with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Darunavir (Oral Route)

It is recommended to use barrier methods (like condoms), IUDs, or a depot for contraception. Your doctor may monitor your treatment closely and adjust the doses as per the observations. Use barrier methods (like condoms) for contraception to reduce the risk of HIV infection.

Mycophenolate mofetil (Oral Route)

Effective contraception must be used before, during, and for at least 6 weeks after stopping Mycophenolate mofetil. It is recommended to consult your doctor. Mycophenolate mofetil may reduce the efficacy of Estradiol.

Saquinavir (Oral Route)

Severe

Letrozole (Oral Route)

Do not consume Letrozole with Estradiol if you have or had breast cancer. If essential, consult your doctor.

Who should not take Primiwal E2 Tablet?

Primiwal E2 Tablet should not be taken by patients who have unusual vaginal bleeding, liver problems, or bleeding disorder. It should also be avoided to patients who are pregnant or are allergic to Primiwal E2 Tablet. Patients who have had uterus or breast cancer, had a stroke or heart attack, or currently have or had blood clots should also avoid this medicine.

Does Primiwal E2 Tablet cause weight gain?

Primiwal E2 Tablet may cause either weight gain or weight loss. This is a common side effect of Primiwal E2 Tablet. However, exercising regularly and eating a healthy nutritious diet can help you prevent weight gain. In case you notice weight gain and it bothers you, consult your doctor.

How should Primiwal E2 Tablet be taken?

Primiwal E2 Tablet tablets should be taken exactly as advised by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water. You can take it at any time of the day but take it at the same time each day.
