How to use Prednol LS Eye Drop

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Prednol LS Eye Drop works

Loteprednol belongs to a class of medication called as ophthalmic corticosteroid. The exact mechanism of action is not known. They are thought to induce certain proteins (phospholipase A 2 inhibitory proteins) which inhibit the formation of other compounds like prostaglandin and leukotrienes which promote inflammation. As a result, the redness, swelling, and itching is relieved at the site of administration..
