Uses of Pause Tablet
Pause 250 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bleeding. It is used to prevent or reduce bleeding for short period of time in conditions like heavy periods, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, nosebleed, tooth removal, after prostate surgery or after bladder surgery.

How to use Pause Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pause 250 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Pause Tablet works
Pause 250 mg Tablet is an anti-fibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots to control excessive bleeding during periods, or after surgery.

What if you miss a dose of Pause Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Pause 250 mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Do not take tranexamic acid:
  • before the start of menstruation.
  • If you are a woman >45 years of age 
  • If you are allergic to tranexamic acid or any of the ingredients of this medicine
Do not continue tranexamic acid and consult your doctor If you experience skin rashes or other serious symptoms like swelling of face, lips and throat causing breathlessness or difficulty swallowing, as this may denote allergy. 
  • Consult your  doctor if menstrual bleeding is not reduced after three menstrual cycles.
  • To be sure this medication is not causing harmful effects, your vision may need to be tested while you are using tranexamic acid. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Bleeding during pregnancy is not a good thing. Pause 500 will not really help alone. Progesterone injections weekly along with oral progesterone support should be started.
