Nexipox Freeze Dried Vaccine indicated for active immunization for the prevention of Chickenpox in individuals 12 months of age and older. It is administered by subcutaneous injection. Two doses are recommended.
Nexipox Freeze Dried Vaccine is administered to children between 12 months to 12 years of age and the second dose after a minimum gap of 3 months. For adolescents (≥13 years of age) and Adults, two doses to be administered a minimum of 4 weeks apart.
Frequently reported (≥10%) adverse reactions in children ages 1 to 12 years include fever ≥102.0°F (38.9°C) and local injection-site complaints.
