General Information








Product introduction
New Okacet Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose depends on your condition and how you respond to treatment. You may take it only on days when symptoms occur, or regularly if advised for prevention. Do not stop taking it earlier than advised, as symptoms may return.
Common side effects include headache, dry mouth, and sleepiness. These are usually mild and improve with time. Consult your doctor if they persist or become bothersome. Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may increase drowsiness.
Before taking it, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or elderly (above 65 years of age). Also, let your doctor know about all other medicines you are taking, as interactions may occur. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel sleepy or dizzy after taking this medicine.

How to use Okacet Tablet
How Okacet Tablet works
Dosage
The dose of New Okacet Tablet depends on your age, the severity of your symptoms, and your overall health. It is usually taken once or twice a day, and the usual adult dose is 5-10 mg per day. In younger children, the dose may be lower. However, your doctor will decide the right dose and duration of treatment for you.
Take New Okacet Tablet exactly as advised, and do not exceed the recommended dose. Continue using it for as long as recommended to help control your allergy symptoms. If your symptoms do not improve or get worse, consult your doctor.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of New Okacet Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Overdose
Taking more than the recommended amount may cause confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, headache, malaise, pruritus, restlessness, sedation, or somnolence.
If an overdose is suspected, seek emergency medical help immediately. Try to stay awake until medical help is available.

Quick tips
- Stop taking New Okacet Tablet at least three days before undergoing an allergy test, as it can affect the test results.
- Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine, as alcohol can increase sleepiness.
- Discontinuing the medicine after prolonged use (several months) may lead to a temporary recurrence of itching, which may persist for a few days before settling.
- If you feel sleepy, you may take your dose in the evening (around 8–9 PM) after speaking with your doctor.
- If you have kidney disease or reduced kidney function, you may require a lower dose. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
- If you have a history of seizures, use this medicine with caution and consult your doctor before taking it.
- If hives (urticaria) do not improve within 3 days, consult your doctor.
