How to use Neulora Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Neulora 1 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Neulora Tablet works

Neulora 1 mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

  • If you are taking Neulora 1 mg Tablet for the treatment of insomnia and anxiety, it should not be used more than 4 weeks.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Neulora 1 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Neulora 1 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Neulora 1 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Neulora 1 mg Tablet should be used for short periods and sleepiness of the baby should be watched. The withdrawal of Neulora 1 mg Tablet should be gradual.
Driving
Neulora 1 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Neulora 1 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Neulora 1 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Neulora 1 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Neulora 1 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Neulora 1 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Neulora 1 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Neulora enhances the action of a signaling chemical called gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain and thus produces a calming effect. This calming effect may be perceived as pleasant or feeling high by some individuals. On prolonged use, Neulora may also make an individual dependant such that they are not be able to sleep or function normally without taking it

Neulora itself can rarely lower blood pressure. However, it is known to potentiate the effect of medicines used to treat high blood pressure, and cause excessive lowering of blood pressure
