How to use Nasicure Nasal Spray

Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray away from the cartilage diving the two sides of your nose and toward the sides of your nostril. As you spray, breath gently and keep the head upright. Repeat in the other nostril.

NASICURE NASAL SPRAY is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

  • Your doctor has prescribed NASICURE NASAL SPRAY to treat a runny or stuffy nose caused by allergies (allergic rhinitis).
  • Since it's a nasal spray, it does not expose the rest of your body to the medicine and hence gives you minimal side effects.
  • It's most effective to start using it a few days before an expected contact with the allergen. 
  • Inform your doctor if you have an infection, injury, or had a recent surgery of the nose as NASICURE NASAL SPRAY can increase the risk of bleeding, fungal infections in the nose and delay wound healing.
  • Side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems can happen when you start taking NASICURE NASAL SPRAY. Inform your doctor if this bothers you.
  • Do not stop taking NASICURE NASAL SPRAY suddenly without talking to your doctor first as it may cause worsening of symptoms.

Q. Is Nasicure an antibiotic/steroid/anti-histaminic/anti-cholinergic drug?
Nasicure is a steroid but not an antibiotic/anti-histaminic/anti-cholinerhic/decongestant drug.It is used to treat nasal congestion (decongestant) and other symptoms caused by allergies or conditions like asthma

Yes. Nasicure may be taken with Benadryl (diphenhydramine)/Sudafed (pseudoephedrine)/Zyrtec (cetrizine)/ Afrin (oxymetazoline)/Allegra (fexofenadine)/Mucinex (guaifenesin) if prescribed by your doctor
Q. Does Nasicure propionate cause weight gain/drowsiness/ wakefulness?
Nasicure may cause weight gain since it is a steroid drug. It may cause drowsiness or wakefulness. If you experience any such symptoms, please consult your doctor
Q. Is Nasicure addictive?
No. Nasicure is not an addictive or a controlled/banned substance
Q. Dose Nasicure cause nose bleeds?
Yes. The most common and expected side-effect of Nasicure nasal spray/inhaler is nose bleeding. If your bleeding is more or does not stop, please consult your doctor
Q. Can I take Nasicure if I have high blood pressure?
It is advisable to consult your doctor before taking Nasicure if you have high blood pressure.
