Introduction of Migrabeta Tablet

Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat various heart conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (heart-related chest pain) and arrhythmias (irregular heart rhythm). It lowers blood pressure and thus decreases the risk of future heart attack. This medicine is also used in the treatment of various non-heart conditions like anxiety, migraine, tremors and overfunctioning thyroid gland. It also decreases risk of bleeding in the gut caused by high blood pressure in the liver. It should be taken empty stomach for best results. Weakness or tiredness may occur as a common side effect which usually disappears with time. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly and taken strictly as advised by your doctor.

How to use Migrabeta Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Avoid Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

How Migrabeta Tablet works

Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet is a beta blocker which lowers blood pressure. It works by slowing heart rate and relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow to organs.

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet. Taking Propranolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet may cause visual disturbances, hallucinations, fatigue, mental confusion, dizziness or tiredness. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
SAFE
Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease. Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet may be started with a low dose and then increased further. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advisable for dose adjustment.
Liver
CAUTION
Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Migrabeta Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Migrabeta 10 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

I was on glimison m 1/500 . Half tablet per day Diabetes was in control but i heard somewhere that metfprmin is npt good for kidney dieses.as my creatinine level stays between 1.0 to 1.7 can i use only glimipiride? Is it safe my suger level is around 100_110 in morning. And what would be the require dose? 1_2_3 mg?? I had heart attack and 3 arteries are block pumping is 20%

You can get you E-GFR. when you do s.creatinine eIf it is more than 60 then you can safely continue the same drugs if post lunch sugars are acceptable that is less than 140 mg %. Some times it is safer better to change more kidney friendly drugs and small dose of insulin.
