It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Maclar suspension at a fixed time.
Avoid Maclar suspension with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Maclar suspension.

Maclar suspension may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

    Uses

    Maclar suspension is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and bacterial skin infections.

    How it works

    Maclar suspension is an antibiotic. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
