How to use Lotranz Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lotranz 2 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Lotranz Tablet works

Lotranz 2 mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Lotranz 2 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Lotranz 2 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lotranz 2 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Lotranz 2 mg Tablet should be used for short periods and sleepiness of the baby should be watched. The withdrawal of Lotranz 2 mg Tablet should be gradual.
Lotranz 2 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Lotranz 2 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lotranz 2 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Lotranz 2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lotranz 2 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
