Product introduction

Jonac Gel should be applied directly to the affected area, or as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands after application unless they are the treated area. Use it regularly for the recommended duration to help achieve the best result. Rest the affected part, avoid strain, and follow any advised exercises or physiotherapy to help improve recovery.

Common side effects are usually mild and occur at the site of application. These may include redness, itching, burning sensation, or skin irritation. These effects often improve as the skin adjusts to the medicine. Do not apply more than the advised amount, as that will not provide faster relief and may increase the risk of side effects.

Jonac Gel should not be applied to broken skin, open wounds, infected areas, or near the eyes, mouth, or nose. The treated area should not be covered with tight bandages unless advised by a doctor. People with a known allergy to diclofenac, aspirin, or other pain-relieving medicines should avoid using it. Caution is needed in pregnant or breastfeeding women, and medical advice should be taken before use.

Uses of Jonac Gel

Benefits of Jonac Gel

Pain relief
Jonac Gel is used to relieve pain and inflammation at the site of application. When applied, it helps reduce pain, swelling, and stiffness in muscles and joints associated with conditions such as sprains, strains, and arthritis. It acts directly on the affected area with minimal absorption into the bloodstream, lowering the risk of systemic side effects compared with oral pain-relieving medicines.

Side effects of Jonac Gel

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
Common side effects of Jonac
  • Application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness)

How to use Jonac Gel

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How Jonac Gel works

Jonac Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) on the skin.

Quick tips

  • Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages, as these may increase the risk of side effects.
  • Do not apply to broken, diseased, infected, inflamed, or irritated skin, or to open wounds.
  • Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth, or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
  • It may increase the risk of sunburn. Avoid exposing the treated area of skin to excessive sunlight.
  • Do not use it for longer than 14 days unless recommended by your doctor.
