How to use Iobet Eye Drop

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Iobet Eye Drop works

Iobet 0.5%w/v eye drop works by lowering the pressure in the eye(s), thereby preventing gradual loss of vision.

Expert advice for Iobet Eye Drop

• Consult your doctor if you have history of blood circulation problems, or blood vessel problems, adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma), psoriasis, glaucoma or increased pressure in the eye, diabetes, low blood sugar, or overactive thyroid, kidney or liver problems. • Tell your doctor if you are on dialysis or are scheduled to have surgery. • Do not suddenly stop taking betaxolol if you have or may have an overactive thyroid as it may mask certain signs of overactive thyroid (e.g., fast heartbeat). • Exercise caution if you are an elderly patient as you may be more sensitive to its side effect especially slow heartbeat.  • Do not drive or operate machinery after taking betaxolol as it may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or light-headedness.  • Should not be given to patients who are allergic to betaxolol or beta-blockers or any of its ingredients. • Should not be given to patients with age less than 18 years. • Should not be given to patients with heart problems such as heart block, shock, uncontrolled heart failure, or very slow heartbeat. • Should not be given to patients with past or current respiratory problems such as severe asthma, severe lung condition which may cause wheeziness, difficulty in breathing and/or long-standing cough.
